UK’s top builder Persimmon has revealed its plans to design selected new build homes integrated with fibre broadband and entertainment services.
The company which constructs more than 10,000 new homes in the UK a year, said it has tied up with the cable giant Virgin Media to enable its customers get access to high speed broadband and digital TV services as soon as they move in to new homes.
“Virgin Media’s partnership with Persimmon Homes can take a little bit of the stress out of setting up home as well as allow more people to enjoy our next-generation services as soon as they move in. We all want to be able to watch, share and access our entertainment at home and Virgin Media’s services really help customers to make the most of their technology.” said Steve Carlin, Virgin Media’s Director of Sales for New Build.
Virgin Media cable broadband service currently offers the country’s fastest speeds of 50Mbps while its network has coverage of over 50 percent in the UK.
The cable ISP is also expected to launch its 100Mbps service soon while planning to bring its fibre optic broadband to 500,000 UK homes.
